Are you a qualified candidate?

  • Hold a valid Class A or B CDL with a minimum of 6 months of verifiable experience driving a CMV.
  • Possess a clean driving record with no more than 3 minor violations in the past 3 years and no major violations in the past 5 years.
  • Be at least 25 years old.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening, physical, and background check.

Fisher Bus Inc., a leader in group transportation, is searching for a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team! As a vital part of our operation, you'll ensure our fleet of motorcoaches and buses are safe, reliable, and ready to create unforgettable travel experiences for our passengers.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain and repair our motorcoaches, school buses and other vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems, diagnose issues, and develop solutions keeping our vehicles on the road.
  • Perform regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and servicing to keep our fleet in top condition, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs, including parts used and labor hours.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment for optimal efficiency.
  • Communicate clearly with mechanics, drivers, and management to ensure seamless repair and maintenance processes.

What we're looking for:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably on motorcoaches or other large vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
